The Blake Boys Golf team punched their ticket to the state tournament for the fourth year in a row! They took control on Day 1, shooting an even par as a team to build a significant 15-stroke lead. Senior captain Ian Friederichs was a standout, carding a 1-under par round, while sophomore Charlie Dean and freshman George Mark contributed even-par 71. On Day 2 at Francis A. Gross Golf Club, the Bears continued their dominate play, again finishing even par as a team. Friederichs once again led the way, securing top medalist honors for the second straight year with another 1-under par round, for a two-day total of 2-under par. Junior captain Jimmy Hughes also delivered a strong performance on Day 2, shooting 1-under par, with juniors Jack Mark and Cole Eckes adding 1-over par scores. Coach Hinton has led the Bears to the state tournament four out of the five years he has coached the team. The Bears look ready to take on the states best!
