The Bears boys’ cross country team started their season in commanding fashion, taking first place at the Orono Twilight Meet. The victory was a strong sign of what’s to come, as the team looks to build on its early success.
Senior captain Will Schwemm led the charge, securing a second-place finish individually to set the pace for the Bears. Following closely was promising sophomore Leo Mithun, who finished seventh, demonstrating his potential for a breakout season.
The entire team is scheduled to compete again on September 4th at Gale Woods Farms in Minnetrista. The race is set to begin at 4 p.m., and the team encourages all fans to come out and show their support.
