The Blake Girls Tennis team held off a very strong Breck squad to win the Section 4A Team Championship.  The final score of 6-1 did not indicate how close of a match it really was.  Blake jumped out to a quick 3-0 lead in the match when 1st singles Arlina Shen, 2nd singles Sonia Baig, and 3rd singles Bella Suk cruised to a victory in straight sets.  The rest of the matches came down to the wire.  Down in both sets, 2nd doubles team of Natalie Anderson and Anna Secor rallied to win 6-4, 6-4 and claim the defining 4th point of the match.   At 4th singles Allison Jay would win in a 3rd set tiebreaker.  1st doubles of Emily Melin and Carolyn Cameron would also comeback to win a 3rd set tiebreaker.  Final score of 6-1.  

The Bears advance to the State Team Tennis Tournament.  It will be played October 23rd and 24th at Reed Sweatt Tennis Center.
