BASEBALL

The Blake Baseball team battled through the tough spring weather and some untimely injuries.  Big wins this year included Providence (IMAC Champs), a sweep over rival Breck, and a walk off win versus AAA ranked Holy Angels.   In the playoffs, Blake defeated Maranatha in the first round but couldn't get it going on offense much after that.  A great season considering all they had to overcome.

The Bears had won the previous three Class AA State Championships. The boys enjoyed more success throughout the regular season as they were named Academic All-State, won their fourth straight IMAC Championship and senior Derek Hitchner was named a finalist for the Mr. Golf Award. Hitchner, a Pepperdine commit, finished his incredible six year high school career by finishing in second place in the Class AA State Tournament, losing by one stroke.
