Girls Soccer Moving on to the Class A State Tournament

The Blake Girls Soccer Team is moving on to the Class A State Tournament! The Bears defeated DeLaSalle tonight at Osseo High School by a score of 3-0 to punch their ticket. 

After a scoreless first half, Blake got on the board with 13 minutes to play after an outstanding individual effort by junior, KK Haug. Just five minutes later, freshman Amelia Reyes capped off a beautiful passing play from junior Maddie Tix and senior Sara McClanahan. Three minutes later, McClanahan converted from in tight on a bit of a broken play after freshman Cate Moe's corner kick sent the ball into the box. Senior Lucia Warner was in goal and recorded her third straight shutout in Section play. 

The Bears advanced to the Section Final after defeating Columbia Heights 9-0 in the quarterfinals and Totino-Grace 2-0 in the semifinals. 

The State Tournament will run from October 24th - November 2nd with the semifinals, third place game and championship game being played at U.S. Bank Stadium. The Bears enter the tournament with an overall record of 13-4-2.
