Boys Soccer: IMAC CHAMPS

The Blake Boys Soccer Team captured their 3rd straight IMAC Championship on Tuesday night after defeating host Providence Academy by a score of 5-0. 

Senior Haluk Ercan-Fang got the scoring the started for the Bears after a feed from senior Ethan Roe. Late in the first half, senior Soren Roe added to the lead for the Bears as they took a 2-0 lead into halftime. The Bears scoring did not stop in the second half as Ercan-Fang notched his second goal of the night to take a 3-0 lead. Sophomore Daniel Lesov and senior Sean Leblanc capped off the championship night for the Bears as they put home the fourth and fifth goals of the game. 

The 5-0 victory over Providence Academy gives the Bears the Conference Title for the third time in as many years and also makes them the Conference Champion for each year of the IMAC existence (Blake and Breck were co-champions in 2015). 

Blake returns to action on Friday, September 22nd as they take on the #1 team in Class A, the Totino-Grace Eagles. Kickoff is at 7:00pm at Gordy Aamoth Stadium on Blake Campus. The Bears enter the game 7-0-2 overall and 4-0-1 in conference play. Totino-Grace enters the contest at 8-0-0  overall. The game will feature the #1 and #2 teams in the state in Class A.
