Jake Borgida '17, has signed with the Merritt Centennials of the British Columbia Hockey League (BCHL). The BCHL is regarded as one of the top Junior A hockey leagues in North America and sends numerous players on to NCAA Division 1 and Division 3 hockey each year. 

At Blake, Borgida was a three year player and a captain in his senior season. As a defensemen, Borgida appeared in 80 games totaling 28 points on 13 goals and 15 assists. In his senior season, Borgida was named as a finalist for the Reed Larson Award (given to the top senior defenseman in Minnesota) after recording 10 goals, 8 assists and 18 points.
