Defeated DeLaSalle and Tied Breck

The Blake Boys Soccer team remained undefeated after a victory over section foe, DeLaSalle and a tie against conference and section rival, Breck.

The Bears were led by their veterans in a 4-1 win on the road at DeLaSalle. Senior Ethan Roe scored two goals and junior captain Haluk Ercan-Fang had a goal and assist to pace the Bears. Freshmen Benji Pomonis added the other goal for the Bears.

Tuesday night, the Bears headed to Breck for their third straight road game to open up the season. In a rematch of last season's Section Final, Blake jumped to a first half lead with a goal from freshman Keegan James assisted by sophomore Will Mortenson. Breck would not go away and finally tied things up with 2 minutes and 40 seconds left in regulation. Neither team could capitalize in two overtimes and the game ended in a 1-1 tie.
