Sara McClanahan Wins Blake's Athena Award

Sara McClanahan has been named Blake's Athena Award winner for the 2017-2018 school year. McClanahan is a three sport athlete at Blake, excelling in soccer, hockey and lacrosse. Upon graduating from Blake, she will be heading off to Dartmouth College will she play Division 1 hockey.

At Blake, McClanahan has participated in an astounding eight State Championship games, with two more opportunities still possible. She has won three State Championships in hockey, and one State Championship in lacrosse. She has played in one other hockey final, two other lacrosse finals, and one soccer final.

Aside from her team success, she has enjoyed her fair share of individual success too. Sara is a five time letter winner in hockey, four time letter winner in soccer, and a four time letter winner in lacrosse. She has been named All-State in all three sports and has many conference awards to go along with them. 

The other finalists for the award were as follows: Sophie Skallerud, Kyra Willoughby, CC Wallin, Lainey Axell, Sarah Chute, Anna Kruesel, Abbie Nelson, Shannon Ellis, Josie Lagerstrom, and Emma Burke. Congratulations to all of the finalists.
