Six Different Girls Score Goals for Blake

The Blake Girls Soccer Team bounced back in a big way on Tuesday night as they defeated Providence Academy 7-0 at Gordy Aamoth Stadium. The victory put the Bears back into the win column after dropping their first two games of the season last week.

With many regular starters unavailable, the girls' depth shone through as sixth different girls scored goals for Blake. The Bears scored three first half goals to take a 3-0 lead into halftime. Goals in the first half were scored by junior Julia Abraham (assisted by junior Maddie Tix), senior Sara McClanahan (assisted by freshman Cate Moe), and freshman Gerogia Clark (assisted by junior Tyler Libert).  The second half was more of the same for Blake as they scored in bunches. Goals in the second half were scored by Clark, her second of the game (assisted by Tix), Tix (assisted by junior Morgan Phillips), and Libert (assisted by Phillips).

The victory keeps the Bears in second place in the IMAC at 3-1-0 and 8-2-1 overall. Blake returns to action on Saturday, September 23rd as they host the undefeated Hill-Murray Pioneers (6-0-4)  at 11:00am at Gordy Aamoth Stadium at Blake Campus.
