The Blake Bears Athletic Department is pleased to announce Steve Kaback as the new Head Volleyball Coach. Steve is in his 13th year as a Physics Teacher at the Northrop Campus. 

Before teaching science, Steve grew up playing 6-man and beach volleyball in the Southern California South Bay, including three years of high school volleyball for the perennial 3rd-place finishing Palos Verdes High School Boys volleyball team. 

After high school, he played for the University of California at Berkeley club volleyball team for four years, then went on to play on USVBA teams in California, Utah, and Maine.

He has coached several high school volleyball teams for both boys and girls in Southern California and Utah, and ran programs to develop players' skills and game strategy throughout the 80's and 90's. 

Steve is excited to return to the gym to coach BGV, and continue to build on the program's recent successes.
