9/22/16. Golden Valley, MN.
The Blake Bears Girls Soccer team traveled to rival Breck for an important conference soccer game. Blake needed to win, and get a little bit of help with the tiebreaker, to earn the Independent Metro Athletic Conference Championship this year.
An early goal in the 1st half put Blake up 1-0, but they would go into the half with the tight lead. Things opened quickly in the second half. Raye Gleekel and Samantha Lee each added a pair of goals to lead the Bears to a 6-0 victory over the Mustangs.
This marks the 3rd time in 3 seasons at the Blake Girls Soccer team has earned the IMAC Championship.
