The Blake Bears Boys Soccer team earned the Independent Metro Athletic Conference Championship on Thursday evening, defeating rival Breck in front of a nice crowd at Gordy Aamoth Jr Stadium.
The two teams battled hard. Breck jumped on board with a nice goal in the 1st half. Lane Lipschultz would answer with a free kick in the 2nd half to tie the game 1-1. The game would go to overtime, and finish with a 1-1 tie. Hard to not mention the standout play of Blake goalkeeper Quinn Kiernat. Kiernat made a save at the end of the second overtime period to seal the conference title for the Bears.
